Natural Resources - Mines Service
The Mines Service is the competent authority for the enforcement of the Mines and Quarries Law and the Law on Explosives. It is also advisor to the government on technical issues related to the mineral wealth of the country and acts as a liaison between Government, Mining Companies and Researchers.
The Mines Service, through it's authority and responsibilities, aims at the rational development of the mineral wealth of the country, minimizing the impact of mining and quarrying activities on the environment and ensuring safe working conditions and hygiene for workers.
