The Cyprus Forestry College is a Government Institution, within the Department of Forests of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment. It was established in 1951, to meet the increasing needs of Cyprus, the Middle East and other interested countries for the training of supervisory (sub-professional) staff in the general principles of forestry practices. 

The College is located at Prodromos village which is the highest in elevation village of Cyprus. The location of the College is ideal for forestry training, as it occupies a central position within the island's main state forest. The forest immediately surrounding the College, constitutes part of the extensive College Forest which is largely maintained by the students.

The College is fully residential, with Central Heated Single Study Rooms, Dinner Hall, Lecture Rooms, Conference Room, Library, Workshops, Laboratory, Computer Center equipped with the latest PCs, Meteorological Station, Forest Nursery, Soccer Field, Basketball Field, Mini Busses, Fire Engines etc.

The Forestry College is now part of the Leonardo Da Vinci programme and the Socrates/Erasmus educational exchange network and in addition participating in other European programmes.
