NATURE TRAILS FOUND OUTSIDE STATE FORESTS IN CYPRUS

E4 - Map

Apart from creating trails within State Forests, the Department of Forests as the leading authority for the design and promotion of nature trails, cooperates with the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, local authorities and District Administrations for the creation of nature trails outside State Forests. The projects for the creation of such trails are implemented by individual beneficiaries with funding from the relevant forestry measures of the Rural Development Program.

The following is a list showing a total of 31 trails found outside State Forests, along with some general information to provide the visitor with a basic understanding of the trails. It is highlighted that the Department of Forests only holds responsibility for the management and maintenance of trails found within State Forests. For paths found outside State Forests, relevant information can be obtained from the offices of local authorities or found on their webpages.

These trails can be found from the west to the east part of Cyprus, and have been classified into distinct geographical regions.
