Current situation
The forests of Cyprus, besides timber, also produce many other products, the most important of which are water, prey, mushrooms, aromatic plants, Christmas trees and honey, whose economic value is probably higher than that of the timber.
Target
Ensure through the proper management of forests the continuation of the production of all non-wood products.
Actions
The implementation of the above objective will be achieved through appropriate management and appropriate arrangements especially for the collection of these products. Where circumstances so require, and specifically for the purpose of protecting biodiversity or the ecosystem, the regulation may also include a total ban on collection or restrict collection to specified areas
