Timber regulation
Council Regulation (EU) No 995/2010 introducing obligations on timber and timber products (the EU Wood Regulation) foresees the adoption of non-legislative measures by the Commission with a view to its uniform application. The Commission has adopted a delegated regulation laying down the detailed requirements and procedure for the recognition and withdrawal of recognition of monitoring bodies as well as an implementing regulation laying down detailed rules on due diligence and the frequency and nature of controls to be carried out to be carried out by the competent authorities of the Member States in the monitoring organizations.
