Public awareness and disseminations of results
Action D1: Media work and Organization of events.
The action includes press conferences to local and national media (TV and radio, newspapers and magazines); TV and radio interviews, articles, radio and/or TV coverage of major events and project implementation in national media; half-yearly press releases about the project's progress; broadcasting by national TV channel. Includes also the organization of the ‘Opening Event’ of the project and the organization of TV and radio interviews and /or press conferences on the World Biodiversity Day (2nd of May), the World Wetlands Day (February 2, annually) and the International Day for the Environment. The action is important in order to address the existing lack of understanding and appreciation of the conservation value of the targeted species by the general public. Furthermore, it will enhance the wider communication on specific conservation management issues at a national scale.
