More specifically, the project aims at the following objectives:
- Habitat improvement and protection of the 20 targeted species habitats in the selected NATURA 2000 sites.
- Completing gaps in knowledge for assessing the conservation status of those species across Cyprus.
- Raising the awareness of selected sites’ users and of general public with regard to these species.
- Providing evidence and concrete proposals for enhancing the ecological coherence of the NATURA 2000 sites in Cyprus.
