The State Veterinary Laboratories are divided in the Laboratory for the Control of Food of Animal Origin (LCFAO) and the Animal Health Laboratory (AHL), the latter including five Departments the Bacteriology Serology Department, the Virology Department, the Histopathology Department, the Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies Department and the Pathology, Bacteriology and Parasitology Department.
