The Water Frame Directive 2000/60/EC(WFD) enforces the existing European Legislation and establishes a framework for a sustainable water management and protection of the water recourses.The main purpose of this Directive is the prevention of further deterioration of all water and the achievement of a "good status" by the end of 2015.
