| Among other things, the regulations provide for the following: |

| | i | Permission to use of potable water or irrigation water reservoirs is granted ONLY to sports federations registered in the register of the Cyprus Sports Organization (KOA) for conducting water sports by manually operated or electric vessels. |

| | ii | License for the use of recycled water reservoirs may also be granted for conducting water sports by motor boats.. |
| | | | | |
| | iii | The permits are issued by the director of the Department of Water Development (WDD). |
| | | | | |
| | iv | The director of the WDD examines and approves licenses only upon application by Federations registered in the Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO). |
