Within this framework, the WDD advances the construction of the following infrastructure projects:
1. Restoration of the Uncontrolled Waste Disposal Sites (UWDS) of the District of Limassol
The project concerns the restoration of 44 UWDS in the District of Limassol including the active UWDS in Vati and it is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund during Planning period 2014-2010.
2. Restoration of the Uncontrolled Waste Disposal Sites (UWDS) of the District of Nicosia
This project concerns the restoration of 20 UWDS in the District of Nicosia including the active UWDS in Kotsiatis and it is con-financed by the Cohesion Fund during planning period 2014-2010.
3. Extension/ upgrade of the UWDS in Paphos to a Treatment Plant and the construction of a new cell
This project concerns the construction of Integrated Waste Management Facilities in Marathounta for the treatment and disposal of solid municipal waste of the District of Paphos and construction of a new cell to serve existing requirements.
