The red colour shows the sections of the aquifer where the level of water is below the average level of the sea and the darker the red the lower it is. In these areas, sea water penetrates into the aquifer. The blue line shows the boundaries of the area affected by the penetration of sea water. The blue colour shows the areas where the level of the water of the aquifer is above the average level of the sea. The yellow points show the stations for the monitoring of the water level of the aquifer and the numbers in yellow colour above the points show the measurements in metres from the average sea level.
