The MBL research concerns plants, animals, insects and microorganisms using advanced molecular techniques and state-of-the art laboratory equipment.

Research Interests
Development and exploitation of advanced molecular and biochemical methods for gene identification and characterization of genetic traits and their mode of action.

Ongoing Research
  • Molecular characterization of bacteria and fungi
  • Development and exploitation of molecular markers on plants
  • Scrapie (PrP) genotype identification in Chios sheep
  • Scrapie (PrP) genotype identification in Damascus goat
